Lawrence County upends Lady Dawgs, 11-0, on Monday

MONTICELLO — For the second time this softball season, Lawrence County rolled past Franklin County, 11-0, on Monday night.

The loss dropped the Lady Bulldogs’ season record to 9-8 overall.

Franklin County was limited to only three hits and committed six errors while Lawrence County collected six hits and had no miscues on the tally sheet.

The Lady Dawgs were paced by Sadye Scott, who was 1-of-2 at the plate, with a double in the top of the first inning and a fly out to right.

FC’s Karlee Wallace was also 1-of-2 with a single and a ground out and Indayshia Morgan went 1-of-1 with a single and was hit by a pitch.

Jhalayah Tillman, Greyonne Queen, Katherine Romero, Amberly Wallace, Marlee Tindle and Marianna Thomas were all 0-of-2 on the night with Thomas tagged for her team’s lone strike out.

Franklin County left three baserunners stranded in the game.

Among the 11 hits by Lawrence County were one double and one triple.

Tillman and Karlee Wallace both worked two innings in the pitching circle with the former facing 14 batters and the latter taking on 17.

Tillman was tagged for five runs (three earned) on three hits. She also walked two batters.

Tillman’s pitch-to-strike ratio was 33-13 (39.3 percent).

Karlee Wallace surrendered six runs (one of those earned) on three hits.

She struck out five and walked two.

The pitch-to-strike ratio for Wallace was 50-28 (56 percent).

Lawrence County had previously defeated FC in a 16-2 decision in Meadville on Monday, March 20.
