Funeral services for Willard Eugene Seale, 90, of McComb, were held at 11 a.m., Thursday, March 9, 2023, at New Heights Baptist Church with Brother Marvin Howard officiating.

Interment was in the Mount Zion Cemetery.

Visitation was held from 10 a.m., until the time of service on Thursday at the church.

He was born to Euce Seale and Lillian Bowlin Seale on Sept. 12, 1932, in Franklin County, and passed away Tuesday, March 7, 2023, at Camellia Estates in McComb. 

Mr. Seale was a United States Army veteran and was stationed in Germany.

He attended vocational school in Ferriday, La., under the G.I. Bill, and learned cabinetry.

He and his wife were founding members of Stanton Baptist Church in Cannonsburg. 

Mr. Seale once lived in Natchez where he worked at Armstrong Tire until retirement. His family then moved to Smithdale. 

He was a very active member of New Heights Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon.

He loved gardening and teaching others his art of gardening. 

He enjoyed playing guitar at Camellia Estates and sang with various church groups.

Brother Marvin Howard described Mr. Seale best: “He bloomed in the mission field where God planted him.”

He was a blessing to many staff and residents at Camellia Estates. 

“He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the Lord require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God.”

Mr. Seale was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Florene Melissa Seale; his brother, Henry Lewis Seale; several half-brothers and sisters; his son-in-law, William David Ramage; along with a number of other relatives.

Survivors include his children, Pamela Ramage of Houston, Texas, Jasper E. Seale (Denise) of Biloxi and Kay Templet (Darren) of Destrehan, La.; his grandchildren, Abigail Taylor (Collin), Amanda Cordar (Andrew), Jessica Felter (Michael), Rebecca Judkins (Tyler), Kayla Watson and Grant Templet; his great-grandchildren, Riley Taylor, Paige Taylor, Brooks Taylor, Oliver Cordar, Emelia Cordar, Scarlett Felter, Rose Felter and Margaret Judkins; his sister, Ruby Jean Smith (Cloy); his brothers, Bobby Seale and Delton Seale (Bobby); his brother-in-law, James Pearlie Bowlin; his special nephew, Nathaniel “Nathan” Wells; along with numerous other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers were Nathan Wells, Jonathan Wells, Darren Templet, Grant Templet, Tyler Judkins, Michael Felter and Collin Taylor.
