Funeral services for Donna Lynne Ratcliff Cupit, 62, were held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 4, 2023, at Riverwood Family Funeral Services in Brookhaven.

Interment followed at Adams Methodist Church Cemetery.

Visitation was held from 9 a.m., until the time of the service on Saturday, Feb. 4 at the funeral home.

She was born to Melvin Hewitt Ratcliff and Doloris Marlene Temple Ratcliff on Oct. 30, 1960, and went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2023.

Donna loved playing softball in her youth. As a member of the Barnes Furniture team, she made many close friends and traveled to tournaments across the South.

She also enjoyed gardening and had a green thumb — like her mother. She considered herself a country girl and felt that turning the soil was therapeutic.

She was dedicated to her careers in healthcare as a pharmacy technician and then as an LPN.

She enjoyed spending time with her family, serving her McCall Creek community and attending New Salem Baptist Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents; and infant twin daughters, Jane Ellen Wilson and Jessica Hope Wilson.

Survivors include her husband of nine years, W.L. Cupit; her daughter, Michelle Wilson; her step-daughter, Cydnee Russell Merritt and her husband, Victor; her brother, Mark Ratcliff and his wife, Casey; her sisters, Lisa Goforth and her husband, Ray, and Karen McPherson and her husband, Ron; her three grandchildren, Marley Grace Barfoot, Samuel Thomas Barfoot and Annalise Olivia Merritt; her close friend since high school, Eileen Wells, and many cousins and extended family members including nieces and nephews.

Memorials, in Mrs. Cupit’s name, can be made to the Saint Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis Tenn., or to Blair Batson Children’s Hospital in Jackson.
