Linda Saxon Nix

Visitation for the family and friends of Linda Saxon Nix, 81, of Biloxi, will be held from 2 to 4 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 11, 2023, at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 274 Beauvoir Road in Biloxi.

She was born to V.L. Saxon and Margaret Tate Saxon on Aug. 19, 1941, and passed away on Sunday, Dec. 25, 2022.

She graduated from Franklin County High School in Meadville and attended Copiah-Lincoln Community College in Wesson. She obtained a bachelor’s degree from the Mississippi University for Women in Columbus, and obtained two master’s degrees — one in library science and the other as a media specialist.

Her husband spent many a minute stopping at strange locations while she took photographs. Her award-winning work provided a “window to the world.”

She will be missed and loved by all who knew her, the latest being Houdini the cat.

Survivors include her husband of 25 years, Vernon Nix; her daughter, Sandy Jackson of Deerfield Beach, Fla.; her son, David Entrican and his wife, Rachel, of Lakewood, Colo.; her step-daughter, Kim Ard and her husband, Tom, of Orange Beach, Ala.; and her two grandsons, Garrett And and Jack Entrican.
