Funeral services for Officer Mayes “Nickey” Pernell will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 7, 2023, at Mount Olive Baptist Church in Roxie.

Interment will be in the Mount Olive Baptist Church Cemetery in Roxie.

Visitation for family and friends will be held from 5 to 7 p.m., Friday, Jan. 6, 2023, at Tyler Funeral Home in Brookhaven and from 10 a.m., until the time of service on Saturday, Jan. 7 at the church.

Mr. Pernell passed away on Sunday, Dec. 25, 2022, at his residence in Jackson.

Masks are required for those attending the visitation and/or services.
