Brother Jack Evans

Funeral services for Brother Jack Evans, 75, of Greenbrier, Tenn., were held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2022, at Ebenezer Baptist Church in Greenbrier.

He was born to Wanda and Hardy Glenn Evans on Aug. 20, 1947, in Hamilton, Ohio, and passed away on Friday, Dec. 16, 2022, in Greenbrier.

After seminary, Evans, a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War, was called to pastor his first church, Siloam Baptist Church in Meadville, and served in that capacity for 10 years.

He would go on to serve Ebenezer Baptist Church for 25 years before his retirement in 2016 as well as chaplain for the Greenbrier Fire Department for two decades.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his sister, Gail Crowder.

Survivors include his wife, Dianne; his son, Joshua; and a loving extended family.
