Funeral services for Eric Garnell Brown Sr., 52, of Oklahoma City, Okla., and formerly of Franklin County’s Kirby community, were held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 15, 2022, at Mount Olive Baptist Church with the Rev. Greg Partman officiating.

Interment was in Old Sixteen Cemetery.

Visitation was held from 5 to 7 p.m., Friday, Oct. 14, 2022, at the Lighthouse Center in Meadville and from 10 a.m., until the time of service on Saturday, Oct. 15 at the church.

He was born to Albert Lee and Shirley Mae Hunt Brown on June 15, 1970, in Natchez, and passed away on Friday, Sept. 30, 2022, in Clayton, La.

He was preceded in death by his father, Albert Lee Brown; and his daughter, Brittany Brown.

Survivors include his wife, Charlesetta Eddington Brown; his mother, Shirley Mae Hunt Brown; his paternal grandmother, Geneva Brown; his four children, Erin Brown, Erica Brown, Eric Brown Jr., and Kylee Brown; his two sisters, Tangy Morgan and Shanta Lee; his brother, Albert Brown Jr.; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
