Funeral services for Velmon Marie Smith Nichols Bolin, 62, of Roxie were held at 11 a.m., Friday, Sept. 16, 2022, at Salem Missionary Baptist Church in Stampley.

Interment was in the church cemetery.

Visitation was held from 5 to 6 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 15, 2022, at West Gate Funeral Home in Natchez.

She was born to Willie and Lillie B. Smith on June 28, 1960, and was a 1977 graduate of Franklin County High School. She passed away on Thursday, Sept. 8, 2022.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Jerry Lee Smith; and her sister, Dr. Judy Smith.

Survivors include her husband, Michael Bolin; her son, Lt. Cmdr. Jermaine L. Nichols (Shavon); her daughter: Summekia V. Nichols; her step-children: Marcus Bolin and Michelle Ross (Gregory); her sister, Zelmon R. Conrad (Brock); her brothers, Eddie Smith, Tom Smith (Frances), James Smith and Larry Smith; her five grandchildren: Aniya Skipper, Kennedi Smith, Isaiah Smith, Nia Nichols and Jermaine Nichols, Jr.; her four step-grandchildren, Maurice Ross, Markell Ross, Kinzlee Bolin and Chanc Bolin; and other relatives and friends.
