Funeral services for Wiley Louis Wentworth III, 83, of Franklin County’s Eddiceton community, will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, July 22, 2022, at Hopewell Baptist Church in Bude with the Rev. Tony Mullins officiating.

Interment will follow in the Hopewell Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m., Thursday, July 21, 2022, and from 10 a.m., until the time of service on Friday, July 22 at Hopewell Baptist Church.

Mr. Wentworth was born to Wiley Louis Wentworth II and Lillian Costley Torrey on Dec. 29, 1938, in Franklin County, and passed away on Thursday, July 14, 2022, at his residence.

He was a long time member of Hopewell Baptist Church where he attended faithfully for many years.

He enjoyed fast cars, hunting, fishing, rock and roll music and spending time with his grandchildren.

Preceding him in death were his parents; and his son, Robin Wentworth.

Survivors include his sons, Stuart Wentworth and his wife, Dianne, of Brandon and Steve Wentworth and his wife, Mary, of Brandon; his sister, Sara Wentworth Adams, of Washington D.C.; his brother, Lynn Wentworth and his wife, Patti, of Madison; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.

Pallbearers will be Louis Taylor Wentworth, Heath Woodcock, Wade Woodcock, Matthew Roberts, Drew Kin and Trevor Wentworth.

Honorary pallbearers will be Vance Woodcock and Vince Woodcock.

The family requests memorials be made in Mr. Wentworth’s name to: Hopewell Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 195 Hopewell Church Lane, Bude, MS 39630.
