LEMUEL ERWIN JONES

June 26, 1956-Sept. 26, 2026

A Celebration of Life will for Lemuel Erwin Jones, 70, of McCall Creek, 
will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 2, 2026 from Ebenezer 
Methodist Church. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 1, 
2026 at Riverwood Family Funeral Home and will resume on Friday, Oct. 2, 
2026 from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.

Following the service, interment will take place at the Ebenezer 
Methodist Church Cemetery.

Born on June 26, 1956 to the late Roger Jones and Claudell Cupit Jones, 
he was a graduate of the Class of 1975 at Franklin County High School. 
He was a member of Adams United Methodist Church.

He retired from B & O Machine and Welding after 43 years. He was an avid 
hunter and outdoorsman and loved watching his grandkids play baseball 
and soccer while also spending time on his tractor.

He died on Saturday, Sept. 26, 2026 at his residence.

He is survived by his son, Christopher Jones; his brother and 
sister-in-law, Glyn and Valerie Jones; his grandsons, Cullen Jones and 
Gage Hughes; his nephews, Milton Ellis Jones, Nicholas Jones and Kevin 
Jones; and his nieces, Kimberly Durham, Leanne Buttross and Misty Jones.

He will be dearly missed by those who loved and knew him.
