BEVERLY L. OGLESBY

Graveside services for Beverly L. Oglesby, 68, were conducted on 
Thursday, July 2, 2026 from Midway Cemetery in Meadville, with Rev. 
Keith Smith officiating.
Born on Dec. 22, 1957 in Natchez to Francis Marion Oglesby, Sr., and 
Alice Louise Wallace Oglesby, she loved to shop at garage, estates and 
antique sales. She was a long-time member of Meadville Baptist Church.
The Oglesby family has been well known throughout Franklin County for 
many years.
She died on Sunday, June 28, 2026.
She is survived by her sister-in-law, Cathy Oglesby; her very special 
caregiver, Maggie Bentley; and numerous cousins, other family and 
friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, F.M. Oglesby, 
Jr.; and her nephew, Andy Oglesby.
Pallbearers were Bo Hayes, Wayne Wallace, Byron Norman and Kenny 
Bentley.

FRANKIE APPLEWHITE
Feb. 26, 1938-June 29, 2026
Graveside services for Frankie Applewhite, 88, of McCall Creek, were 
conducted on Thursday, July 2, 2026 from New Salem Baptist Church 
Cemetery in McCall Creek, with Rev. Cletus Moak officiating.
Born on Feb. 26, 1938 in Calhoun City, she married Donald Applewhite on 
Nov. 20, 1953. She was a member of New Salem Baptist Church and worked 
many years as a cosmetologist and pharmacy technician.
She treasured time spent with her family and leaves a legacy that will 
continue through generations. For the past two seasons, she had acquired 
a love for the Atlanta Braves baseball team. She didn't miss a game, and 
her favorite player was first baseman Matt Olson.
She also enjoyed watching her westerns and her favorite of all was 
"Cheyenne."
Frankie's life leaves behind generations of family who carry forward 
memories and moments shared throguh the years.
She died on Monday, June 29, 2026 at her residence.
She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Carrie and Billy Gill 
and Debra ad Doug Zeigler; five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren 
and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lucille and Stanley Howell; 
her brothers, Jerry Howell and Billy Simmons; her sister, Kathryn Magee; 
and her husband, Donald Applewhite.
Pallbearers were Ryan Gill, Corey Zeigler, Morgan Golmon, JAmes Nations, 
Tay Applewhite and David Allen Magee.
The family would like to express its sincere appreciation to the staff 
of Arden Hospice for the care, support and compassion shown during 
Frankie's final days at home. Hollie, Jaden, Angela, Brother Robert and 
Jan were all amazing.
