BILLIE ROSE STROUD

Funeral services for Billie Rose Stroud, 97, of Meadville, will be at 10 
a.m. on Thursday, March 5, 2026 from Middleton Primitive Baptist Church.
Interment will follow at the church's cemetery.
Born on Dec. 21, 1928 in Franklin County to Hosie and Lucy (Cotten) 
Temple for more than two decades he was a trusted presence in Dr. Elmo 
Gabbert's office in Meadville, overseeing office responsibility and 
offering kindness and encouragement to patients.
She was a lifelong member of Middleton Creek Primitive Baptist Church 
and often opened her home to visiting church family and ministers. From 
their earliest days, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren knew her 
home as a steady anchor of warmth and comfort.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She died on Saturday, Feb. 28, 2026 at her residence after a long life 
of service to her Savior, her family, her church and her community.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Sharlene Stroud 
of Brandon; her daughter and son-in-law, Patti Stroud and Johnny Monroe 
of Meadville; her grandchildren and their respective spouses, Mitch and 
Sara Stroud, Danielle Stroud and Michael Wiggins, Nick and Ashley 
Stroud, Jacob Stroud, Johanna Monroe and Matt Jones, Gabe and Christine 
Monroe and Hannah Monroe; 14 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, 
nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester Stroud; her sisters, 
Bonnell Whittington, Betty Bishop and Florene Edens; and her 
granddaughter, Bettina Stroud.
Pallbearers will be Gabe Monroe, Iain Jones, Barry Cotten, James Cotten, 
Jeff Bein and Dale Dier. Honorary pallbearers will be Mitch Cothren, 
David Cothren and Gary Cothren.

Funeral services for Georgia M. Allen, 83, were conducted on Tuesday, 
March 3, 2026 from Middleton Creek Primitive Baptist Church in 
Meadville, with Brother Thomas Griffin officiating.
Born in Crosby on Nov. 3, 1942 to Mr. B.F. McAlliser and Mrs. Albertine 
Cothren McAllister, she enjoyed spending time with her family and 
friends. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend.
She died on Thursday, Feb. 26, 2026.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Jimmie Allen; her sons and 
daughters-in-law, Sherill Glynn and Stephanie Allen and James Edward and 
Annie Allen; her daughter, Cheryl Lynn Allen; her grandchildren, Brian, 
Andrew, Miranda and Connor; eight great-grandchildren and a host of 
family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Pearlie 
McAllister; and her sisters, Louise Storey and Judy Lawson.
Pallbearers were Connor Allen, Brian Allen, Andrew Allen, Dustin 
Henderson, Mitchell Cothren and Rex Cothren.

Funeral services for Cynthia Ruth Littrell, 78, were conducted on 
Friday, Feb. 27, 2026 from Pilgrim's Rest Primitive Baptist Church in 
Meadville, with Rev. Leon Wallace officiating.
Born on Sept. 10, 1946 in Centreville to Quayle Vardaman Cassels and 
Aline Wilkinson Cassels, she enjoyed quilting, her flowers and, most of 
all, her family. She was a loving mother, grandmother, bonus grandmother 
and wonderful friend.
She died on Monday, Feb. 23, 2026.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Beth 
Littrell; her daughter and son-in-law, Catherine and Rudy Villalobos; 
her brother and sister-in-law, Cayce and Kay Cassels; her sister and 
brother-in-law, Alecia and Bill Rumfield; her grandchildren and their 
respective spouses, Nikki and Steven Judd, Brittany and Shaun Bosarge, 
Anthony Littrell, Asher and Liz Littrell, Mark Anthony and Summer 
Hernandez II, Miranda Villalobos, Caleigh and Nathan Russell and Carmon 
Claire Coleman; 14 great-grandchildren, 11 great-great-grandchildren and 
a host of family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Mike Cassels and 
Quayle Cassels, Jr.; and her sister, Patricia Duke.
Pallbearers were Michael Coleman, Anthony Littrell, Asher Littrell, Mark 
Anthony Hernandez II, Rudy Villalobos, Curtis Evans and Ray Burr.
