Funeral services for Phillip Howard Pettit, 70, of Roxie, were conducted 
on Sunday, Nov. 9, 2025 from Lighthouse Center in Meadville, with 
Brother James Hunsucker officiating.

Born on Feb. 6, 1955 in Chillcothe, Ohio to William Dale Pettit and 
Lillie Ophral Pettit, he died on Thursday, Nov. 6, 2025.

He is survived by his loving wife, Linda B. Pettit; two daughters and 
sons-in-law, Rebecca and Malvin Dier Dunn and Renee and David Kinsley; a 
granddaughter and her spouse, Ashley and Justin Butts; a grandson, David 
Cory Kinsley; two great-grandsons, Levi Butts and Wayne Butts; a niece, 
Jackie Eakins; and a host of other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Lillie Pettit; two 
sisters, Kate Owens and Lily Current; and six brothers, Lester Pettit, 
Bud Pettit, John Pettit, Gray Pettit, Don Pettit and Buck Pettit.
