Born on April 29, 1931 to Frank Priest and Alyene Stockstill Priest in
Franklin County, she was a 1950 graduate of Roxie High School. She
married the love of her life, Gerald Dayton Bonds, Sr., in the high
school auditorium a few minutes after her high school graduation
ceremony.

She was a past member of the Home Demonstration Club. She enjoyed

She is survived by her three children, five grandchildren, seven
great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild. Also surviving her are
her sister, Kay Priest Wilkinson; her sister-in-law, Nettie Arthur; a
special friend, Larry Sherman; and a host of other relatives and
friends.

Evon McManus Jordan, she was a United States Postal worker for 43 years.

She died on Tuesday, July 8, 2025 in Monticello. She will be missed by
