No cases of virus found in past week

No changes in the number of coronavirus cases in Franklin County have been reported during the past seven days, according to the Mississippi Department of Health.

As of Sunday, April 10, the area’s infection count remained steady at 1,924 cases.

Additionally, the state health agency noted the county’s death toll related to the transmissible illness remained steady at 38 during the last seven days.

The last local death was tallied during the first week of March.

Statewide, 796,023 cases of COVID-19 and 12,414 illness-rated fatalities have been reported since the pandemic began in the Magnolia State during March, 2020.
