Health and Wellness Fair planned April 28 in Bude

The Mississippi Shine Project — in conjunction with the Bude Community Foundation — has announced plans for a “Health and Wellness Fair” to be held Thursday, April 28.
The program, which is offered at no cost to the public, will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the BCF’s Community Center — the former Bude United Methodist Church — at 270 North Main Street.
Foundation Programs Director Marsha Webb said the event will include free blood pressure checks, free blood glucose testing, a body mass index analysis along with free diabetic supplies and blood pressure testing machines.
“In addition to the health screenings, important information will be provided on living a more healthy lifestyle,” Webb said.
“We hope people will come out to take part in this three-hour program because their health is vital to their quality of life and it will be well worth their time.”
