JEWEL MARIE CARLOCK

Funeral services for Jewel Marie Carlock, 97, of Natchez, will be at 11 
a.m. on Thursday, May 22, 2025 from the Chapel of Franklin Funeral Home 
in Meadville, with Rev. Tony Mullins officiating. Visitation will be 
from 10 a.m. until time of service on Thursday, May 22, 2025 from 
Franklin Funeral Home.

Born on Feb. 17, 1928 in Franklin County to Mr. Lem Emfinger and Mrs. 
Mattie Bell Sullivan Emfinger, she died on Monday, May 19, 2025 at 
Riverbridge Hospital in Vidalia, La.

She is survived by her daughters, Patsy Hester, Diane Buckles and Judy 
Smith, all of Natchez; her grandchildren and their respective spouses, 
Russ and Kellie Smith, Kimberly Smith and Calvin Gray and Kristi and 
Jody Love; her great-grandchildren, Chase Buckles, Cameron Buckles, 
Jonathan Gray, Brianna Gray Murphy and Samantha Smith; her 
great-great-grandchildren, Brantley and Jaxson; along with a host of 
family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Kirby Carlock; 
her grandsons, Mike Buckles and Benny Buckles; her sister, Audrey 
Delaney; and her son-in-law, William Russell Smith.

Pallbearers will be Russ Smith, Calvin Gray, Chase Buckles, Cameron 
Buckles and Jody Love.

ITASCA L. SMITH

Feb. 24, 1935-May 15, 2025

Graveside services for Itasca L. Smith, 90, will be on Monday, May 26, 
2025 from Midway Cemetery in Meadville. The family will receive visitors 
from 5-7 p.m. from Franklin Funeral Home in Meadville.

Born on Feb. 24, 1935 in Bunkley to Aleain (Norris) and William Leonard, 
she was a loving mother and grandmother.

A graduate of Meadville High School, she continued her education at 
business school before embarking on a career in Home Health. She retired 
in 2005 and dedicated her life to the love and care of others.

A lifelong member of the United Church of God, she was a faith-filled 
woman who was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.

She died on Thursday, May 15, 2025.

She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Cala and A. Mikel 
Davis and Jackie and Victor Hadden; her grandchildren, Brandy Lewis, 
Ashley Roberts and Casie Loyd; her great-grandchildren, Kaegan Lewis, 
Gavin Lewis, Colton Lloyd, Austin Lloyd and Savannah Lloyd; her nephews, 
Mark Davis; and her niece, Vicky Jordan.

She was preceded in death by her father, William Louis Leonard; her 
mother, Aleain Norris Leonard; and her sister, Patsy L. Davis.
