At the plate, Brown went 3-for-3 in both games played this week. He hit two home runs against the Pirates and one against the Tigers.

Brown’s on-field play has helped lead his team to victories in both games they have played thus far.

The Back 40 Seafood Cardinals defeated the 3 B Construction and Roofing Tigers, 7-4.

At the plate, Bales got on base every time he batted.
On the pitcher’s mound, he recorded seven strikeouts on his way to leading his team to victory.
MAJOR LEAGUE DIVISION

Monday, April 4

The Kia of McComb Pirates defeated the Presnell Roofing and Construction Cardinals, 5-2.

Thursday, April 7

The Franklin Telephone Co., Braves defeated the Kia of McComb Pirates, 9-8.

The Major League Division “Player of the Week” was Atlay O’Quinn, who plays for the Franklin Telephone Co., Braves.
O’Quinn pitched three stellar innings against the Pirates, striking out seven batters.
At the plate, he literally led his team to victory. In his first at bat, O’Quinn hit a triple and the Braves took the early lead — and held that advantage until the last inning.
Then, the Pirates took the lead in the top of the last inning, but as the home team, the Braves had the final at bat.
O’Quinn came to the plate with the Braves trailing, 8-7, with Matthew Moore on first base with two outs.
Facing a two-strike county, O’Quinn hit a walk-off, out-of-the-park home run to claim the 9-8 win for the Braves.
This clutch performance made this game one of the most exciting contests played in Franklin County Little League.
