Born in Natchez on March 13, 1949 to Willard and Irene Williams Smith,
he was a Veteran of the National Guard who spent his life doing what he
loved most — farming. He took great pride in bailing hay with his Ford
tractors, and he believed in working hard but also believed in a long
Sunday afternoon drive.
