Bobby Kelly

Bobby Kelly was fully united with Jesus Christ on Saturday, Oct. 30, 2021.

He was born to his parents, Kimble and Dot Kelly, on Aug. 28, 1950, in Raleigh.

Mr. Kelly invested in the lives of young people for 31 years as an agriculture teacher and FFA adviser at the Franklin Vocational Center.

He was an avid fox and coyote hunter, and cherished his time as a leader in the community and his church, Meadville Baptist.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his daughter, Arlena (Matt) Smith; his son, John Kelly; his former wife, Donna Kelly; his grandchildren, Abbey and Jesse Smith; and his sisters Dottie (Donnie) Lawson and Mandy (Charlie) Jones.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Mr. Kelly’s honor to Meadville Baptist Church or Gideon’s International (gideons.org).

He will be laid to rest in a private family service in Smith County.
