Donald R. "Bobby" Tyson

Funeral services for Donald R. “Bobby” Tyson, 69, of McComb, were held at 2 p.m., Monday, March 14, 2022, at Franklin Funeral Home in Meadville with the Rev. Hollis McGehee officiating.
Interment was in the Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery in Monticello.
Visitation was held from noon until the time of service on Monday, March 14 at Franklin Funeral Home.
Mr. Tyson was born to Donald H. and Annette Tyson on Feb. 5, 1953, in Meadville, and passed away on Friday, March 11, 2022, at Southwest Regional Medical Center in McComb with his loving family by his side.
He enjoyed gardening, camping and spending time at the beach. He was also a big Boston Red Sox baseball fan.
He loved his family and especially spending time with his grandchildren. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
Preceding him in death were his parents.
Survivors include his wife of 18 years, Brenda, of McComb; his daughter, Chesney Wallace, of McComb; his sister, Lisa Tyson Lehmann, of Natchez; his brother, William Tyson, of Baton Rouge, La.; one grandson, Cody Lee; one great-grandson, Anthony Lee; his loving mother-in-law, Willodene Wilson; his special aunt, Laura Tyson; the special children in his life, Bryant Wilson, Taylor McDonald and Sissy Ward; his brother-in-law, Joseph Wilson, and many nieces, nephews, family members and friends.
Among the pallbearers and honorary pallbearers were Barry Tyson, Steve McNulty, Steve Newman, Elton Lewis, Myk Haygood, Joey McNulty, Ricky King, Sissy Ward, Taylor McDonald, Charlie Hogg, Bryant Wilson and Paul Lee.
The family suggests memorials be made in Mr. Tyson’s name to their favorite charity.
