James Hensley "Jimmy" Mitchell

Graveside funeral services for James Hensley “Jimmy” Mitchell, 75, of Union Church, were held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, March 9, 2022, at Union Church Cemetery.

He was born to Paul and Margaret Demastus Mitchell in Jackson, Tenn., on Aug. 10, 1946, and passed away on Friday, March 4, 2022.

Mr. Mitchell was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, David Mitchell; and his sister, Paula Mitchell Cook.

He is survived by his wife, Virginia Ann King Mitchell; his daughters, Carisa Mitchell and Kendra Mitchell Simpson; his son-in-law, Jim Simpson Jr.; his grandson, Gaston Blake “Gus” Simpson; his brother, Richard Mitchell; and several loving nieces and nephews.
