Royce Kinnison

Graveside funeral services for Royce Kinnison, 90, of Meadville, were held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, Feb, 8, 2022, at Franklin County’s Midway Cemetery with the Rev. Eric Moak officiating.

Mr. Kinnison was born to Pearlie L. Kinnison and Marie L. Smith Kinnison on March 21, 1931, in Quintin, and passed away Saturday, Feb. 5, 2022, at Franklin County Memorial Hospital.

He served his country in the United States Navy as an aircraft mechanic supervisor for the HSC-7 helicopter as part of the Anti-submarine Squadron 7, known as the “Dusty Dogs,” and retired following 30 years of service.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, Hazle C. Kinnison; his sons, Kenny Royce Kinnison and Kenneth Kinnison; his daughter, Sharon Wilson; and his sisters, Norma Deaux and Nell Marie Boyte.

Survivors include his nieces, Pamela Deaux and Norma Pellegrin; and his grandchildren, John and Jason Wilson.
