Laird, Arnold take top honors in annual FCHS pageant

Senior Morgan Laird and freshman Judson Arnold were crowned as Franklin County High School’s “Most Beautiful” and “Most Handsome” during the 2021-2022 Beauty and Beau Pageant, hosted by The Bulldog annual staff, on Thursday, Feb. 3 in the campus auditorium.
In addition, Allie Shelton was recognized at Franklin County Middle School’s “Most Beautiful” while Caden Tyson was tapped as “Most Handsome” during the competition for seventh and eighth graders held immediately prior to the high school ceremonies.
Photogenic winners included freshman Randi Reese Jackson for the high school competition and seventh grader Alyssa Miller in the middle school event.
FRANKLIN COUNTY HIGH SCHOOL
FRESHMEN
Marlee Tindle was selected as Freshman Beauty with Savannah Arnold finishing as first runner-up; Randi Reese Jackson claiming second runner-up; and Katherine Romero named as third runner-up.
Among those participating in the Freshman Beauties competition were Kayleigh Foy, Brookleigh Maples, Jayla Ward and Addison Wilkinson.
Dakota Chishom earned the title of Freshman Beau while Benton Levite was named as runner-up.
SOPHOMORES
Lauren McCaa was tapped as Sophomore Beauty with Madyson Turner as first runner-up; Abigail Wilson as second runner-up; and Sadye Scott as third runner-up.
Other 10th graders taking part in the event were Carmin Banks, Savannah Cothren, Teearalyn Faust, Dashara Hannon and Madyson Spring.
Zachary Kent was chosen as Sophomore Beau while Grant Poole was selected as runner-up.
Also taking part in the 10th grade Beaus’ event were Tyler Cupit, Conor Brewer, Jamari Tolliver, Kolby Cox, Parker Jordan and Ashton Moore.
JUNIORS
Alyssa Touchstone was chosen as the Junior Class Beauty with Lillian Hutto as first runner-up; Karlee Wallace as second runner-up; and Brooklyn Cupit as third runner-up.
Also taking part in the 11th grade competition were Saiyon Harris, Madelyn McCaa and Maddie Moak.
Ayden Harrell was named as the Junior Beau with Drew Jones and Ridge Clanton also participating in the competition.
SENIORS
Victoria Jackson claimed top honors as Senior Class Beauty with Rylei Turner as first runner-up; Abby Ellzey as second runner-up; and Ashlynn O’Quinn as third runner-up.
Other competitors included Skyler Terrell and Anisha Weathersby.
Nathan Griffin earned the Senior Class Beau title with Corey Ward and Ethan Touchstone also taking part in the contest.
FRANKLIN COUNTY MIDDLE SCHOOL
SEVENTH GRADE
Kaydence McCaa was selected as class Beauty with Kate Wroten as first runner-up; Alyssa Miller as second runner-up; and Lana Cox as third runner-up.
Other seventh grade participants included: Dawson Calcote, Katlyn Carter, Marianna Cothren, Savannah Emfinger, MaKayla Graves, Kaleigh King, Hayden Marcengill, Allie Shelton, Madison Shoop, Rylee Wactor and Brianna Wimberly.
Paden Arnold was named as Beau and Jacob Kent was runner-up while Ethan Wallace, Michael Collins Jr., and Mason Golman participated in the competition.
EIGHTH GRADE
Jae’da Johnson was crowned as class Beauty with Memorie Smith as first runner-up; Chloe White as second runner-up; and Aubrey Maples as third runner-up.
Eighth graders also part of the pageant field were: Felicity Ballard, Carmon Coleman, Caecillia Colson, Aubrey Maples, Morgan McElroy, Gre’Yonne Queen and Bradi Wallace.
Will Cox was selected as class Beau with Zayne Lofton finishing as first runner-up.
