Funeral services for Joan Delaughter Floyd, 87, of Natchez, were held at 11 a.m., Monday, Feb. 7, 2022, at Brookhaven Funeral Home with Brother Glen Harrigill officiating.

Interment was in Franklin County’s Midway Cemetery.

Visitation was held from 10 a.m., until the time of service on Monday, Feb. 7 at Brookhaven Funeral Home.

Mrs. Floyd was born to Barney Roy Delaughter and Ruth Tumlin Delaughter on Aug. 12, 1934, in Bude, and passed away on Friday, Feb. 4, 2022, at King’s Daughter Medical Center in Brookhaven.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband of 62 years, John Floyd Jr.; her daughter, Brenda Floyd Smith; and her brother, Barney Roy Delaughter Jr.

Survivors include her children, Joan Floyd Wheat and John Floyd III, (Tina); her five grandchildren, John Floyd IV (Emily), Thomas J.D. Floyd (Teri), Amy Floyd Walker (Jacob), Aly Floyd Winter (Walker) and Katie Wheat (Jared Perry); her seven great-grandchildren, Thomas, Easton, Mason, Livy Raye, Aiden, William and Brinley; and a host of family and friends.
