Graveside funeral service for Marinia Faye Smith, 63, of Union Church, were held at 10 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 5, 2022, at Union Church Cemetery with the Rev. Billy Joe Deer officiating.

Mrs. Smith, a licensed practical nurse and member of Union Church Baptist Church, was born to John William Thorpe and Salle Mae Thorpe in Natchez on May 2, 1958, and passed away Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2022, at King’s Daughters Medical Center in Brookhaven.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her brother, John Wade Thorpe.

Survivors include her husband of 44-½ years, Joey Craig Smith; her son, Craig William Smith; her daughter, Melissa Faith Sandifer and husband, Dusty Wayne; her brothers, Lloyd Thorpe and Jim Thorpe; her sisters, Janet Tarver, Linda Irby and Liz Haralson; her grandson, Colton Wayne Sandifer; and a host of nieces and nephews, loving family members and friends.
