Archers fare well at Columbia shoot

COLUMBIA — Franklin County Schools’ competitive archery teams took part in their first meet of the 2022 season — the Cougar Classic Shoot — here on Friday, Feb. 4.

Archery sponsor Connie Johnston said her squad performed very well despite not having a whole lot of practice sessions before the Columbia meet.

“I am super proud of each team, especially the high school, which placed third overall in the competition,” Johnston said.

“Our participants got a taste of some of the teams they’ll face this season, and I am looking forward to the progress I know our teams will continue to make as our competition year progresses.”
