Funeral services for Linda Matthews, 70, of Bude were held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2022, at First Baptist Church in Bude with the Rev. Webb Armstrong, Brother Tyson Windom and the Rev. Rodney Jones officiating.

Interment was in Franklin County’s Midway Cemetery.

Visitation was held from noon until the time of service on Tuesday, Feb. 1 at the church.

Mrs. Matthews, a life-long member of First Baptist Church of Bude and who retired after 44 years of service at Larkin’s Clinic in Bude, was born to Duane Clements and Petty McCrory Clements on Feb. 28, 1951, in Meadville, and passed from this life on Saturday, Jan. 29, 2022, at Southwest Regional Medical Center in McComb, MS.

Preceding her in death were her parents.

Survivors include her husband of 52 years, P.L. Matthews; her son, Dustin Matthews and wife, April, of Brookhaven; her sister, Brenda Van Norman and husband, Kevin, of Meadville; and three grandchildren, Avery, Andrew and Thomas Matthews.
