Letters of Administration having been granted on the 21st day of August,

2023 by the Chancery Court of Franklin County , Mississippi, to the

undersigned upon the estate of Lydia Dunn Marcum, Deceased, notice is

hereby given to all persons having claims against said estate to present

the same to the Clerk of the Chancery Court of said County for probate

and registration according to law within ninety (90) days after the date

of the first publication hereof, or they will be forever barred.

You have been made a Respondent in the suit filed in this Court by Wanda

Steele Hart seeking determination of the heirs at law of Lorraine B.

Steele, Deceased.

You are summoned to appear and defend against the Petition filed against

you in this action at 10:30 o'clock A.M. on the 2nd day of April,

2024, in the courtroom of the Franklin County Courthouse in Meadville,

Mississippi, and in case of your failure to appear and defend a judgment

will be entered against you for the money or other things demanded in

the Petition.

You are not required to file an answer or other pleading but you may do

so if you desire.

REQUEST FOR BIDS / INVITATION FOR BIDS

TOWN OF MEADVILLE

TOWN WIDE PAVING PROJECT

FRANKLIN COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI

Sealed bids subject to the conditions and provisions presented herein

will be received until 10:00 AM on Tuesday, March 26, 2024, and then

publicly opened and read at the Town Hall, The Town of Meadville, 75

Main Street, Meadville MS 39653, for furnishing all labor, materials and

equipment and performing all work necessary to complete the following

project: Town Wide Paving Project. Bidders who wish to submit bids

electronically in lieu of a sealed bid may submit their bid

through www.dunganeng.com.

The work involved in the project includes milling, base repair,

leveling, and overlay of approximately 1.1 miles of the town's

streets. The materials shall meet the requirements of the plans and

contract documents, as well as, the Standard Specifications for State

Aid Road and Bridge Construction. Copies of the Contract Documents may

be viewed at the office of Dungan Engineering, P. A., located at 120 E

Chickasaw Street, Brookhaven, MS 39601, 601-823-7026 or online

at www.dunganeng.com. Documents are nonrefundable and must be purchased

through the website to be on the official plan holders list. For

questions regarding website accessibility or obtaining bid documents,

please contact Plan House at 662-407-0193.

Bid preparation will be in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders

bound in the Contract Documents. The Town of Meadville, here in called

"Owner", reserves the right to waive irregularities and to reject

any and/or all bids. Bids may be held by the Town of Meadville for a

period not to exceed 60 days from the date of the bid opening for the

purpose of evaluating bids prior to award of contract.

A bid bond or certified check in the amount of 5% of the bid will be

required. The bid bond or certified check will be returned immediately

to unsuccessful bidders. Bidders are hereby notified that any proposal

accompanied by letters qualifying in any manner the condition under

which the proposal is tendered will be considered an irregular bid and

such proposals will not be considered in making the award.

A performance bond, or equal, in the full amount of the contract will be

required of the successful bidder. In lieu of a performance bond the

successful bidder may post with the Town of Meadville, the full amount

of the bid, in cash or its equivalent, conditioned for the prompt,

proper and efficient performance of the contract; said cash or its

equivalent to be held until the successful completion of the project.

Attention is called to the fact that contracts exceeding $50,000 require

contractors to be licensed under applicable laws of the State of

Mississippi and have a certificate of responsibility.
