Funeral services for Grace Louise Farr, 95, of Roxie, were held at 2 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 30, 2022, at Roxie Baptist Church with the Rev. Van Windom, the Rev. Jamie Wallace and Brother Tyson Windom officiating.

Interment was in Roxie City Cemetery.

Visitation was held from 5 to 8 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 29, 2022, at Franklin Funeral Home in Meadville, and from 1 p.m., until the time of service on Sunday, Jan. 30 at Roxie Baptist Church.

Mrs. Farr was born to Joseph Walderns and Maggie Daniel Walderns on Aug. 3, 1926, in Maumelle, Ark., and passed from this life on Friday, Jan. 28, 2022, at her home.
She enjoyed sewing and making Christmas stockings for friends and family, and spent a lot of time out in her garden caring for her potted plants and blueberry bushes.

She retired from Georgia Pacific after 25 years as an accounts payable clerk.

She faithfully attended Roxie Baptist Church, where she served as treasurer of the building fund for many years.

She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and wonderful friend.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Lonnie Bernard “L.B.” Farr Jr.; her brothers, James Walderns, Charles Walderns, Floyd Walderns and Sherman Walderns; her granddaughter, Kathryn Lindsey Farr; and her daughter-in-law, Janice Farr.

Survivors include her sons, Daniel Farr and wife, Bonnie, of Meadville, Greg Farr and wife, Kathy, of Meadville, and Steve Farr of Roxie; her two grandchildren, Megan Brown and husband, Sonny, of Bude, and Emily Watson and husband, Graham, of Hattiesburg; her two great-grandchildren, Carter Brown and Cooper Brown; her sisters-in-law, Emma Farr and Barbara Duck; along with many nieces, nephews and a special friend, Vera Allen.

Pallbearers were Keith Whitehead, Tony Mullins, Wendy Aldridge, Kirk Williamson, Allen Whitehead and Sonny Brown.

Honorary pallbearers are the deacons of Roxie Baptist Church, Jimmy Randall, and Ricky Whitehead.

The family request memorials be made in her name to the Roxie Baptist Church Building Fund.
