CLAUDE Q. "PETE" BOWLIN, JR.

Nov. 23, 1939-Feb. 18, 2024

Funeral services for Claude Q. "Pete" Bowlin, Jr., 84, of Denham

Springs, La., will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 24, 2024 from the

Chapel of Franklin Funeral Home in Meadville, with Rev. Rusty Bowlin,

Rev. Glen Alexander and Rev. Kaleb Carlin officiating. Visitation will

be from 10 a.m. until time of service on Saturday, Feb. 24, 2024 from

the Chapel of Franklin Funeral Home.

Following the funeral service, interment will take place at Siloam

Baptist Church Cemetery in Meadville.

Born in McCall Creek on Nov. 23, 1939 to Claude Q. Bowlin, Sr., and Lola

Mullins Bowlin, he served our nation in the United States Navy as an

Aviation Pilot during the Vietnam War. He enjoyed bicycle riding,

fishing with his brother and sail boating. He loved to read and study

the Bible.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and

generous friend.

He died on Sunday, Feb. 18, 2024 at Harvest Manor in Denham Springs, La.

He is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Mark Bradley and

Allison Bowlin and Curt Christopher and Marie Bowlin; his daughter and

son-in-law, Jennifer Anne and Paul Carlin; his brother and

sister-in-law, Rusty and Margery Bowlin; nine grandchildren, 10

great-grandchildren and a host of family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Mary Ann Steele

Bowlin; and his sister, Barbara Musick.

Pallbearers will be Paul Carlin, Christopher Carlin, Kaleb Carlin, Glen

Alexander, Andrew Alexander and Brian Musick.

SHARON KAYE BOWLIN SHIVERS

Feb. 16, 2024

Memorial services for Sharon Kaye Bowlin Shivers, 61, of Liberty, will

be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 24, 2024 from Brown Funeral Home in

Gloster, with Rev. Lance Torrey and Rev. Shan VanNorman officiating.

Visitation will be from 12-2 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 24, 2024 from Brown

Funeral Home.

As per her wishes, her ashes will be spread in all of the many places

she traveled and loved to visit, especially Mexico.

She was a Christian wife, mother and grandmother and was a friend to so

many. She was a graduate of Southwest Community College and earned a

Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Southern Mississippi.

In her professional life, she worked as a Human Resource Director and

Nurse Recruiter in the medical field. She retired in 2009 to be a

caregiver for her parents.

She was married to the love of her life, John Shivers, for 34 years.

She died on Friday, Feb. 16, 2024, surrounded by family and friends at

Diversicare in Brookhaven. She was greeted at her eternal home by her

father, Fairl Bowlin; her mother, Alice Bowlin of Meadville; and her fur

babies.

She is survived by her loving husband, John Shivers; a son and

daughter-in-law, Tyler and Lindsey Shivers; four grandchildren that she

truly adored; and a special "Mother In Love," Margaret Chatman of

Meadville, who she loved so much.
