Funeral services for Marilyn Lois Coley, 89, of Smithdale, were held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Jan. 19, 2022, at Oak Grove Baptist Church in Smithdale with Brother Phillip Parnell officiating.

Interment followed in the church cemetery.

Visitation was held from 5 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2022, at Harman-Jones Funeral Home in McComb, and from 9 a.m. until the time of service on Wednesday, Jan. 19 at Oak Grove Baptist Church.

Mrs. Coley, who worked as a nurse in Zachary, La., and served as secretary at Oak Grove Baptist Church in Smithdale, was born to Stenman and Irene Fonseca of New Orleans, La., on Nov. 28, 1933, and passed away from this life on Sunday, Jan. 16, 2022.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 62 years, Frank “Buddy” Coley; her sister and brother-in-law, Joyce and Louis Price; and several sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.

Survivors include her sons, Herman Coley (Shirley) and Steven Coley (Carolyn); her grandchildren, Lana, Devin, Kevin, Justin C., Jaime, Janelle, Codi, Garrett, Skeeter, Buddy, Justin F., Jayme, Joel, Justine and Ashley; her great-grandchildren, Cole, Leah, Halle, Lainey, Peyton, Catherine, Katie, Logan, Mance, Starr, Brady, Brenna, Darah, Jacob, Jamison, Blain, Blair, Chris and Olivia; and numerous other relatives and friends.
