William James "Jim" Westbrook

Memorial services for William James “Jim” Westbook, 68, of Roxie, were held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 1, 2022, at First Baptist Church in Bude with the Rev. Tyson Windom officiating.

A private burial service will be schedule at a later date.
Visitation was held from 10 a.m., until the time of service on Saturday, Jan. 1 at the church.

Mr. Westbrook was born to Vertram and Agnes Earlene Steele Westbrook in McComb on Oct. 19, 1953, and passed from this life on Monday, Dec. 27, 2021, at King’s Daughters Medical Center in Brookhaven.
Jim was a long-time resident of Franklin County where he stayed active in church and community.

He was a retired construction millrite and an active Mason.

His humble lifestyle and pleasant personality gained him many friends anywhere he traveled.

He was a loving husband, son, father, grandfather and friend.

Preceding him in death were his father; and his wife, Mary Ellen Harrigill Westbrook.

Survivors include his mother, Agnes Earlene Westbrook; his sons, William Todd Westbrook and wife, Brittany, of Meadville, and James Nicholas Westbrook and wife, Mary, of Adel, Ga.; his brother, Charles Westbrook and wife, Sherry, of Alexandria, La.; his sister, Kaye Slay and husband, Hulon, of Pearl, and Julia Carr and her late husband, Norman, of Angola, La.; his seven grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.
