Funeral services for Joseph Anderson “Joe A” Combs III, 83, of Roxie, were held at noon on Monday, Dec. 20, 2021, at Roxie Baptist Church with the Rev. Jamie Wallace and Brother Darby Combs officiating.

Interment followed in the Roxie Cemetery.

Visitation was held from 11 a.m. until the time of service on Monday, Dec. 20 at the church.

Mr. Combs was born to Joseph Anderson Combs II and Eugenia Aldridge Combs on Dec. 8, 1938, in Roxie, and passed from this life on Friday, Dec. 17, 2021, at his residence with his family by his side.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, Bonnie Delaney Combs; and his brother, Paul Wayne Combs.

Survivors include his sons, Tony Combs and wife, Robin, and Tommy Combs and wife, Amber, all of Roxie; his sister, Peggy Dove McCollough and husband, Pat, of Ruth; his brothers, Gerry Combs and wife, Louise, and Lavon Combs and wife, Peggy, all of Roxie; his four grandchildren; his eight great-grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.
