Graveside funeral services for Charles L. Beesley, 81, of McComb, were held Friday, Aug. 27, 2021, at Ramah Baptist Church in Franklin County’s McCall Creek community with the Rev. Van Wyndom officiating.

Visitation was held from 10 to 11 a.m., on Friday, Aug. 27 at the grave site.

Mr. Beesley was born to Lewis and Idell Freeman Beesley on Aug. 22, 1940, in Jefferson County, and passed away at his home at 1141 Park Drive Extension in McComb on Monday, Aug. 23, 2021.

He was retired from Kellwood Co., of McComb, served honorably in the National Guard from 1963 to 1969 and was a West McComb Baptist Church member.

He also was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Dorothy Cook; and his nephew, Tony Maher.

Survivors include a special friend, Sharon K, Phelps; his three sisters, Maxine Maher of Lorman, and Ruby Segrest and Betty Murray, both of Natchez; his brother, Walter F. Beesley of Summit; along with 10 nieces and nephews and numerous great nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were Chris Fleming, Robert Magee, Lewis Beesley, Paul Beesley, Bill Regan and Kenny McCraven.
