Funeral services for Mary Viola McClure, 88, were held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, July 20, 2021, at Franklin Funeral Home in Meadville with Brother Mike Walker, Brother Bobby White and Brother Bruce White officiating.
Interment was in the Sarepta Baptist Church Cemetery in Meadville.
Visitation was held from 5 to 8 p.m., Monday, July 19, 2021, at Franklin Funeral Home in Meadville.
Mrs. McClure was born to Johnnie Jones Sr., and Eunice Cater Jones on Oct. 23, 1932, in Franklin County, and passed from this life on Friday, July 16, 2021, at Franklin County Memorial Hospital in Meadville with her loving family by her side.
She enjoyed cooking, canning and playing games. Her greatest blessings were returning to her family home, spending the last 21 years with her baby brother, and spending the last month of her life with her “five babies.”
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husbands, Jimmy H. White, Phares Bennett and Juan McClure; and her sister, Louisa Huffman.
Survivors include her daughters, Janice Herrington and her husband, Cecil, of West Monroe, La., Brenda Welch and her husband, Mike, of Mendenhall, and Wanda Walker and her husband, Mike, of Taylorsville, La.; her sons, Jimmy Bruce White and his wife, Rebecca, of Germany, and Bobby Joe White and his wife, Debbie, of Tyler, Texas; her brother, Johnnie Jones Jr., of Meadville; her sisters, Lottie Bell Emfinger and Ollie Mae Youngblood, both of Meadville; 36 grandchildren; 49 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.
Pallbearers were Tim Herrington, Robert White, Jeffery White, David Welch, Joseph Walker and Bill Arnold.
Honorary pallbearers were her nephews.
