Funeral services for Mrs. Barbara Jean Pilgrim were held at 2 p.m., Friday, Jan. 22, 2021, at Franklin Funeral Home in Meadville with the Rev. Jamie Wallace and the Rev. Van Windom officiating.

Burial followed at Midway Cemetery in Meadville.

Visitation was held from noon until the time of service Friday at Franklin Funeral Home.

Mrs. Pilgrim, 80, passed from this life on Monday, Jan. 18, 2021, at her residence with her loving family by her side.

She was born Sept. 22, 1940 in Philadelphia to Mr. Morris Astus Woodson and Mrs. Dixie Wright Moody Woodson.

She enjoyed putting together different puzzles and knitting. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her sister, Betty Pilgrim; and brothers, Robert Woodson and Terry Woodson.

Survivors include her husband of 61 years, James E. Pilgrim; daughter, Gloria Tyler from Melder, La.; sons, James David Pilgrim and wife, Amelia, of Roxie, Jim Pilgrim and wife, Penny, of Columbus and Richard Pilgrim and wife, Lisa, of Tioga, La.; brothers, William Marshal Woodson of Leola, Ark., Walter Lee Woodson of Philadelphia and Jerry Dwayne Woodson and wife, Judy, of Philadelphia; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.

Pallbearers were Chris Stokes, Buster Pilgrim, Dokota McCarthy, Calvin Wactor, Jonathan Pilgrim and Richard Pilgrim.

Honorary pallbearers were Payton Pilgrim, Vincente Romero, Jesse Ray Pilgrim and Michael Taverez.
