FC volleyball issues revised season slate

Franklin County High School’s fledgling volleyball program has issued a revised schedule of games through the remainder of its 2020 campaign.
Games that had been scheduled during the past week against Port Gibson on Thursday, Sept. 10 and Hazlehurst on Tuesday, Sept. 15 were pulled from the schedule.

The Lady Bulldogs are now slated to return to action at Tylertown starting at 5 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 24.

Franklin County started its season on Tuesday, Sept. 1 at home against Tylertown with the JV squad earning its first-ever match victory and the varsity team falling three sets to one.

Other games on the slate presently include:

• Saturday, Sept. 26 at Warren Central. Game times to be announced.
• Monday, Sept. 28 vs. South Pike at FCHS Gymnasium. Matches are set to begin at 5 p.m.
• Monday, Oct. 5 at South Pike. Matches are set to begin at 5 p.m.
• Tuesday, Oct. 6 vs. Lawrence County at FCHS Gymnasium. Matches are set to begin at 5 p.m.
